Caritas Jordan/
volunteers
Center holds a
yearly camp in
cooperation with
Caritas Milan.
These camps
usually have a
theme to reflect
the spirit and
the activities
of the camp such
as social&
voluntary work
concepts, peace
building…etc.
For this year,
the camp was
organized under
the title “Solidarity
Camp” from
1-20 August 2010
with the
participation of
volunteers from
both Caritas
Jordan and
Caritas Milan:

The camp that
took place in
the Latin
Convent at
Smakieh / Karak,
South of Jordan,
included (3)
major
activities;
summer school
for Smakieh
children,
maintenance for
the playground
of the convent
and needs
assessment
studies for
needy families
in the area.
The group had
also the chance
to visit several
historic and
tourist places
in Jordan such
as Petra, Wadi-
Rum and Amman
Castle.
