From 17/7– 18/8/2010, Caritas Jordan and AVSI (SOSTEGNO a DISTANZA- ADOZIONI a DISTANZA- COOPERAZIONE ALLO SVILUPPO) organized a Summer School for (50m/f) Iraqi students from (6-15) years old at the Melkite School/ Jabal Amman and the Latin School/ Marka.

The school took place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30- 12:30 through which students were distributed into (3) classes according to the age group taking classes of English and Mathematics besides recreational classes from time to time such as Art and Sport classes.

Twelve volunteers from Caritas Jordan participated in the school to help the teachers at the classes and to accompany the students in the informal activities; movie, visit to the Children Museum, visit to Amman Citadel…etc.

This summer school had many benefits on both academic and personal levels since it helped improve the academic level of the students and encouraged both students and their parents to continue their studies in addition to introducing the students to new friends and places.
