The 14th general
meeting of
Caritas
Volunteers
Committees took
place on17
September 2010
at Madaba with
the
participation of (100 m/f)
from all Caritas
volunteer
committees
distributed all
over Jordan.
The meeting,
which was
titled "When
there is a Will
there is a Way",
started at the
YWCA (Young
Women's
Christian
Association) hall with
exchanging
experiences and
discussing the
role of the
volunteers in
particular the
role of positive
change towards
the local
community.
After that, the
volunteers
continued with a
spiritual
journey to Mount
Nebo accompanied
by Fr. George
Ayyoub,
Assistant Priest
at Latin Parish/
Madaba, who
explained the
Church
perspective to
voluntary work
and its affect
on patriotism.Then
they walked
towards the
place where St.
John was
beheaded.
The
meeting called all
volunteers to work
together to meet the
challenges and
difficulties facing the
social and voluntary
work so they could reach
the results they aspire.
